Definition
Price anchoring is the technique of presenting an initial reference that calibrates how buyers perceive the value of every other option. In real estate launches it shows up in tower release order, in high-value showcase units and in progressive price lists that rise with each sales phase. A well-built anchor makes the full price list feel fair.
